LeCrae and Racial Division
Here is a hard topic to discuss, but it's been building inside of me for a long while now, and I just want to get it off my chest.
I'm very angry and frustrated that pop-culture has identified white, conservative males as the "bad guys." They don't come out and say it, but that IS the narrative being spun by the main stream media, celebrities, athletes, and liberal politicians. They claim "white privilege" (which I've never had in my life...grew up hard and poor just like every other white person I know), and proclaim a contrived victimization for minorities.
I am a white, conservative male, so I take GREAT offense at this portrayal. I am not a "racist." None of the white people I know are racists. I can count on one hand the amount of people I've ever met in my entire life (35 years) that I would consider racist. Sure, I've heard my fair share of the "n" word. I've even used the word myself. Why? Because pop-culture makes it popluar, not because of hatred towards blacks. So why am I made out to be a "bad guy" in the media and celebrity world? It makes me tremendously angry.
As a Christian, I don't believe in "races." It is an evolutionary term, that presupposes that skin pigmentation equals distinctive "kinds" of humans. It is a made up term in order to condition people to the idea that those with lighter skin are more advanced on the evolutionary scale. It is a LIE. The Bible says that we are ONE RACE. ONE BLOOD. (Acts17:26) We ALL come from the same parents. The Bible goes on to say that there is NO favoritism. For there is neither Jew nor Greek. No male or female. All are ONE in Christ. (Gal. 3:28)
So, in addition to being offended by being lumped into this supposedly "favored and privileged class," and being portrayed as victimizers and bigots, I also see that when anyone speaks of "black/white issues" or promotes a distinction between supposed "races," THEY ARE CAUSING DIVISION and violating the Scriptures. Simply by using the word "race," you are helping to accelerate an unBiblical division amongst us. THERE IS NO BLACK in Christianity. THERE IS NO WHITE in Christianity. THERE IS NO rich or poor. No master or slave. Just Christ. Just us all in this together.
In my heart, I have HATED when minorities push this issue of racism. I have HATED when minorities push this ideology of victimization and oppression. Why? Because YOU are causing the division! YOU are causing the hate. When you promote this unBiblical and false ideology, YOU are the one causing the tension and separation, when we should be DISINTEGRATING the whole idea of supposed "races!"
Now, as a Christian, I see a new danger. And it is coming from the rapper LeCrae. I have long been suspicious of LeCrae, because he has slowly strayed from the message of the Cross, to a message of "social injustice" and "racial oppression." I have seen him making friends with the secular world, when the Bible warns us to avoid them! To be SEPARATE from the wicked. (2nd Cor. 6:17) To have NOTHING to do with their unfruitful works. (Eph.5:11)
I have seen him laugh at sin during interviews. I have seen him shy away from speaking bold truths. I have seen him rapping with men who use FILTHY, VIOLENT, and SEXUAL language. All tremendous causes for concern. But now I see a new evil...
You see, this whole ideology of "white privilege" and "black oppression," has led to a culture, where certain things are identified as "white," and therefore shunned, mocked, and hated. Black comedians have mocked it for years. If you wear slacks and a button up shirt, it''s "white." If you speak eloquently and pronunciate properly, it's "white." Lately, the political world has upped the ante. If you are traditionally patriotic, it's "white." If you are conservative or republican, it's "white."
But LeCrae presents a new evil. He has labeled Biblical evangelicalism as "white evangelicalism." Preaching the Gospel and remaining separated from the secular world is now supposedly a "white" thing. This is SO DANGEROUS! Minorities who buy into this LIE, will close their ears to the Gospel, because they will claim it is a "white" thing! This is so destructive and evil!
LeCrae needs to REPENT and come back to the fold! He is leaving the path of wisdom and embracing this divisive evolutionary mentality! It will only cause division, mistrust, hate, and worst of all, hardened hearts and deaf ears!
We need to stand on the BIBLICAL principals of "race," not the contrived victimization ideology of marxist politicians! THERE ARE NO RACES! Just one. The human race. We are ALL the same. The only oppression perpetrated is NOT a racial one, but it is a satanic one. The rich, elite rulers seek to divide and conquer us. ALL OF US. White, black, latino, asian, native, etc. They hate us ALL. And they are playing us like puppets, and LeCrae is falling right in line. In Christ, we are all one. THAT is where the focus ought to be. PREACH THE GOSPEL, not supposed "social inequality" and "black oppression." PREACH THE GOSPEL! Get them in the Kingdom, and then we are all ONE.
